Traditional Strategies
These approaches provide the largest global scale of attention to investing. Although traditional strategies are often foundational to all investment analysis this flavor may be considered by some to be the most "agnostic" of approaches. Investment movements and selections are based on where money is flowing amongst movements in global markets. In depth research and long-term growth prospects are considered as fundamental in the traditional approach. This style is most likely to follow a "buy and hold" mindset with minimal and globally measured actions given to portfolios. Funds managers make investment decisions or the funds they are running while investments advisors provide guidance in deciding what the allocation to various funds is appropriate in a given portfolio as applied to the risk and investment goals of clients.
